Morocco has been the team in charge of writing a new page in the history of African football.
For the first time in history, Morocco classified for the semi-finals of a World Cup after beating Portugal. Morocco have achieved a success that no one had predicted. Morocco’s En-Nesyri’s goal before half-time got on the scoreboard and cost Portugal their elimination.
With order, discipline and impeccable tactical work, they have managed to reach the semi-finals of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
After an almost perfect group stage, in which they finished with two wins (against Belgium and Canada) and a draw (against Croatia), they allowed Morocco to reach the top of the group. They then beat Spain, in a match marked by Spanish desperation and great tactical work by the Moroccans, which went to extra time and penalties.
And then, after a historic victory, Morocco saw off Portugal in the quarter-finals. Now, today against France in the semi-finals. Will Morocco be able to keep slaying giants to keep alive the dream of an entire continent?
