

The I Special SuperCup, was born with the aim of becoming a festive day where players and families enjoy the sport with soccer as a nexus of union.

The first match will be a 7-a-side soccer match at the Nou Municipal de Cornellá on May 8 at 12:30 pm and the second leg will be held the following Sunday, May 15 same hour, in futsal format at the Pavellón Polideportivo del colegio Agora International School Andorra.
The Andorran team trained by Montse Sanchez and Elisabeth Orellana will travel to Cornellà on Sunday morning, thanks to the collaboration and sponsorship of WOSPAC, and will enjoy a day of sports with the whole team in a match against UE Cornellà, INSERCOR. After the match they will recover their strength at noon in a lunch together and will return to Andorra after what will have been a day full of sport and fun.
The Special Olympics Andorra players part of the team are Àlex Cardoso, Àlex Francés, Ángel Mellado, Nihad El Attabi, Alberto Morales, Patrick Queirós, Erika Sarmento, Marc Ribeiro, Marc Vilarrubla, Marta Babot, Sergio Pascual, Marc Civit, Jordi Caetano and Anthony Jorge Antunes.
Special Olympics Andorra was founded in 1994 with the mission to promote and direct all sporting activity in the Principality for people with intellectual disabilities and to contribute, through sport, to improving the quality of life of its athletes.
At present, SO Andorra is made up of a total of 70 athletes who develop 8 sports disciplines and has the services of 12 professionals. It was born in the United States in 1962 on the initiative of Mrs. Eunice Kenedy Shriver with the organization of summer camps for people with intellectual disabilities.
On the other hand, the INSERCOR team is part of the UEC foundation, social area of UE Cornellà. A solidarity initiative that opens another door to the practice of sports for boys and girls with disabilities. Through WELEAGUE7 league matches, friendlies, tournaments and events that make enjoy both on and off the field.
In this case, the objective of this event is to promote inclusion and integration through sport for people with disabilities and to promote the relationship between different national and international soccer teams.
