Cornellà has always stood out for being one of the best academies in Spanish football. The work, the quality of its trainers, the method… are some of the keys to its success in terms of the quantity and quality of the players who have trained there and have reached the First Division.

UECornellà, the club that works closely and regularly with WOSPAC, has become a breeding ground for great players. Not surprisingly, in the Spanish First Division we find names like Jordi Alba (Barcelona), Edgar González, Víctor Ruiz and Aitor Ruibal (Betis), Javi Puado (Espanyol) and Manu Sánchez (Osasuna) and also David Raya, now at Brentford.

In this work, as reflected in this article in El Confidencial, one of the main architects of the club’s evolution is its General Director «For football lovers, the life of a professional player is the best life that exists. If we are able to give the kids that life, we are happy. One of our goals is to give the kids a way out to the first team.” It is clear that youth football is one of the objectives set out in the UECornellà and WOSPAC roadmap.

“It is very satisfying and an honor for us that many youth players get to play in the best teams and that their club has the status of training great professionals in this sport,” says the UECornellà sports director.
